The Diamond Invention

Prologue - The Diamond Invention

A website about Edward Jay Epstein's book about what I like to call "The Shiny Gravel Conspiracy". It details the monopolistic practices of DeBeers and the whole made-up custom of the diamond engagement ring.

Interesting reading.

LED Earrings

L.E.D. Earrings
Here is a quick little instructable for making LED earrings. Really neat. I was thinking about the idea of LED accessories the other day although I was mostly thinking of Hair clips and the like so it could support the electronics. This showed me I need to rethink what I considered the limitations.

Great story about customer service experience

Izzle! Izzle pfaff!

Box Rivets for cardboard construction

Welcome to Mr. McGroovy's

A neat site that sell Box Rivets and gives away plans for building cool things like castles and pirate ships out of cardboard boxes. And the rivets are resusable so you can make new projects or disassemble that pirate ship and put it in dry dock for the winter season.
These would be cool for making a puppet theatre that you could more easily transport for shows.
I love the castle.

Cheapest books no matter which Amazon you like

Pricenoia - Get the best prices on books, the international way!

This site checks all the versions of Amazon to see if there is a cheaper site than the US one. This would be very cool as I found out that one Amazon can be cheaper than another a few years ago when I got some Harry Potter editions cheaper from the UK Amazon site. Cool.
