Another Bazooka. For Reference.

Vacuum Bazooka

Another one. I would like to make modifications to improve this such as the following: Build a way to insert the projectiles into the tube without wrecking the vaccuum. Maybe something like the sleeve at the bank. Or something that when you rotate it so that you can insert the projectile it closes the path but opens when you close the opening. Also maybe a sensor that turns the vaccuum off right before the projectile passes the section point so as to not slow it down. Also a hinged cap for the exit end instead of a piece of paper.

Warning Label Generator

Warning Label Generator

This site is awesome. It allows you to generate a official looking warning label that you can then save to your harddrive for printing or whatever. You could do some fun meme spreading with some labels from this.

Pimped Out Megaphone Helmet

This is pretty funny. Gotta make one of these for when I got to my nephews soccer games. I could stand on the side away from everyone and play rally music and just be annoying. Wheee.

A great quote on education

I found this on a website devoted to designer Alvin Lustig. It was in an ad he did for the Container Corporation of America and it had the following quote from John Ruskin on the benefits of education.

"Education is the leading of human souls to what is best,
and making what is best out of them;
and these two object are always attainable together, and by the same means.
The training which makes men happiest in themselves also makes them most serviceable to others."

I just really like that quote.

Asphalt Mosiacs

Asphalt Mosaics - diy.sometemple.com

This is awesome. The article encourages you to use it for subversive purposes but think how cool it would be to use this for a civic purpose like street identification or a way to mark utilities. I could see making one with my house number instead of that damn spray painted curb.

Try to outsmart your right foot.

Found this on a MS Spaces website.

"How Smart is Your Right Foot?

This is funny, even funnier in front of someone, it will absolutely boggle your mind (slight exageration), and don't keep trying to outsmart your foot, cause you can't.

1. Sit down, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction."

This is insane. Furthur experimentation has shown me that you can rotate both your hand and your foot in the same direction but any attempt to make them go in oppisite directions makes everything go wrong. My assumption is that the same part of your brain is used to do both and it can't multiprocess. I do think if you practiced a lot you could probably eventually do it.

Please go away. Didn't I say "please"?

True Tale #3: A Kinder, Gentler Way to Say "Go Away" | Lifes Little Annoyances

Interesting story talking about 2 services available for people trying to "gently" reject someone's advances. A phone number and a email service that if you use to handout to people gives them a response that let's them know you aren't interested instead of having that confrontation real-time possibly in front of others. Interesting concept. Maybe this is how they will fire people in the future.

British Super Bunker for sale

For sale: Britain's underground city - Sunday Times - Times Online

The UK is unloading the super bunker they had kept hidden until 1989. You too can own the place where the British royalty and government were to hide in case of a USSR nuclear strike. I think they should make it into mod retro housing.
